Adaptavate Breathaplasta is an extremely convenient & easy to use Lime Based Plaster, even for those with little or no experience using traditional Lime Plasters including DIY or Experienced Modern Plasterers
Use Adaptavate Universal for the Scratch and Float Coats. Universal can be used directy onto solid masonry, Insulated Wood-Fibre Boards or Standard Gypsum Plasterboards
Use Adaptavate Smooth for the fine Lime finishing ‘Skim’ or Setting Coat over Universal Base Coat(s). Can also be applied directly onto standard Plasterboard as a 3mm skim with no need for expensive Primers
Use Adaptavate Thermal to improve thermal performance on e.g. external walls
The entire range is 100% free of Cement, Gypsum or Plastics and is a properly formulated hydraulic Lime Plaster.
It is ideal for use in traditional and heritage properties where a more traditional Lime Plaster might not be strictly necessary and where time-cost saving is of benefit. Also ideal where there is a history of damp which might affect the initial set of a more traditional Lime Plaster
We absolutely do not recommend using PVA or SBR with any Lime Plaster as it blocks the breathability however We do strongly recommend using our Alkali resistant mesh between coats.
