Our Standard 6oz hessian is perfectly adequate to protect lime mortar and render work in less demanding and benign conditions, especially when using a number of layers to protect work from frost. However it is not as effective at retaining moisture or preventing wind getting through and drying out sensitive renders and mortars etc in which case we recommend our 9oz Hessian.
